5 Simple Tips for Unpacking in Your New Home

The movers are gone and all your boxes and possessions are scattered about your beautiful new home. It sure looks a little different than it did when you did your final walkthrough. You might be thinking to yourself, "How will I ever get all of this unpacked and organized while wrangling the kids and keeping up with my everyday obligations?" 

Fortunately, there is a way to tackle this challenge in an efficient and quick way. So long as you follow the five tips and tricks below. 

1. Unpack your kids' bedrooms first: Deciding which room to unpack first is usually the hardest part of moving into a new home. We recommend setting up your kids' bedrooms first as moving to a new place can be stressful for them. By providing them with a sense of normalcy and their old surroundings, you will make things easier on them as they transition to living in a new space. If you have a newborn, you will definitely want to set up all the essentials in their nursery. This will make your life a lot less hectic as you navigate this fun yet stressful period. 

2. Get your electronics and cords in order: It's incredible how quickly cords can turn into a rat's nest. To stop this from happening and to save you some frustration later on, make sure you take care of your electronics and their accompanying cords shortly after moving into your new home.
