What Rise Home Owners are Saying
“Our downtown apartment became too small for our needs and all of our toys. We love everything about the west side. It’s the perfect location between downtown and the mountains and has all the amenities only minutes away. We really like the clean, modern look of the community with beautiful homes, parks and pathways and the reasonable price really caught our attention!”
- Axinya and Maxim
“The area was exactly what we were looking for. It is close to our 3 year old’s school. It has numerous parks and walking paths and we liked the idea of being around younger families. The price point really grabbed our attention and we feel we got very good value. The amenities, a family-oriented community and the parks and greenspaces are all things we really enjoy in the neighbourhood. And when I forget my wallet when I go grocery shopping, it’s a quick drive home!”
- Megan and Steve
“We had a friend move into the neighbourhood so we followed on his coattails. We love the location to so many amenities – restaurants, groceries and public transit. The location of The Rise makes for a reduced commute to downtown. It was really nice moving into a community that was already developed. Our home, backing onto a greenspace was a huge win!“
- Kayla and Russell
“We have a growing family and wanted to be in a community that was family-oriented with great schools. It’s rare that you can find a new development in such a great location within the city. We like the greenspace and that there are pathways within the community connecting neighbouring areas. Having groceries and schools right in the community is wonderful!”
- Kesa and Darren
“We have always lived in the west end of Calgary and love the quick commute to our downtown offices, ease of heading to the mountains and all of the amenities the west side has to offer. We wanted to get off a busy street and a useful back yard were specific things we were looking for in our search for a new home. The Rise attracted us because it’s close to our daughter’s school, shopping, Calaway Park and C.O.P and there are two parks on our street!”
- Carla and Robert
“For the first time, our girls can ride their bikes and play outside in our community. We enjoy the sense of peace, and living next to really great neighbours who watch out for each other which we didn’t experience living in the inner city. The stores and restaurants in the area offer a great selection, whether it’s grocery shopping or a night out!”
- Jennifer and Cameron
“We recently got married and living in a condo wasn’t what we wanted for the long-term. We are both very active and love being in the mountains. We wanted our first home to be extremely accessible to the mountains while maintaining easy access to downtown and to all the amenities. Before choosing to move, we knew we wanted to live in a neighbourhood that had a great pathway system connection, transit close by and was within walking distance to a grocery store. The Rise in the West End of Calgary met all of our criteria. It offered a unique opportunity of building the home of our dreams, while working with a great builder.”
- Carolyn and Steve
“We had moved here from Denver and were looking to build rather than buy a resale home. We liked the idea of a new community and growing with the neighbourhood. We really like the access to amenities such as, Springbank rink, COP, Westside Rec Centre, the mountains as well as schools. The access to downtown was non-negotiable and would be very hard to replace. We take a lot of driving trips so quick access to get out of Calgary means so much to us. It is really everything we could ask for.”

“We were initially attracted to The Rise due to the proximity to great amenities that we are accustomed to, currently living downtown. We have been in the Beltline area for the past 7 years, and maintaining our social lifestyle is really important to us as we move out of the core. Being a stones-throw from Mercato, Vin Room and Crave, we will make the transition into “the burbs” that much easier for us. Also, we plan to grow our family so the proximity to the reputable retailers, schools, and established Montessori’s will undoubtedly re-affirm that our choice was the right one.”
